The spiritual master A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swamy Prabhupada. A.C. Bhakti Vedanta Swamy Prabhupada has been born in 1896 in Calcutta, India. He retired married life at age of 54 years in 1950. He has a thorough knowledge of Vedas. He wrote many books such as Bhagavad Gita, mahabhagavata etc.

He came to the United States in September 1965 to fulfill the mission of his spiritual master. When he went to New York City, Srila Prabhupada struggled for money. Only after one year, he established the International Society of Krishna consciousness in the year 1966. He established Bhakti Vedanta’s book trust in the year 1972.

Srila Prabhupada gave spiritual speeches in the world. He covered 6 continents. He passed away on 14th November year 1977.

Srila Prabhupada’s most significant contribution, however, is his books. Highly respected scholar for his authority, depth, and clarity. These books are used as textbooks in numerous college courses. He had guided the society and seen it grow to a worldwide confederation of more than one hundred ashramas, schools, temples, institutes, and communities.
